This life would be closer to a metaverse than what I think you’re referring to as a “second life”. This life is the most illusory or virtual. 

Believe it or not, the vibratory level you go to during your sleep state is closer to reality than where you find yourself during waking consciousness. This is why individuals who don’t believe in any form of life after death are looked at by some as NPC’s (non-player characters). 

The only reason why dreams seem so indecipherable and nonsensical is because of the level of distortion present in transcribing the experience into our limited frame of reference. And if we cannot compartmentalize the information, we tend to move it to a “junk folder”.
