Your fundamental assumption is distorted by your linear perception of time. Not only do you assume that the past, present, and future exist, but you also believe they exist according to the parameters of your own belief constructs. Let’s go back to the basics: everything is now. 

THE PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE DON’T EXIST! 

Your universe exists as one simultaneous action among infinite others (action), being explored by elements of conscious constructs. You err when you think you can commit an action. You do not commit action from the waking conscious state; you perceive it—another one of the ego’s deceptions.
