Yes. Your VR contains data that you cannot directly perceive because evolutionarily speaking the data doesn’t help us evolve or procreate in order to survive, so over time that ability to detect things such as shadow entities was sacrificed for that which could help the species evolve and survive. So, your senses have evolved not to see truth, but to help us stay alive long enough to reproduce in order to carry the species forward. We exist within an evolved VR.
