Absolutely. Ironically, you will remember more about your life after you “die” then when you were alive, due to the lack of restraint(s) that the body applies to consciousness. For example, do you remember everything that happened to you at the age of three? Probably not. As we age we forget certain things, not because these events disappear, but because the brain applies certain restraints to consciousness. The information still exists, it just has to be accessed, and your consciousness apart from physical reality has instant access to this information.
Upon your return to the vibrational level of your soul friends restores what was willfully forgotten by you. Your relationships with other souls, and what characters they played will be apparent. So, your mother in this vibrational level could’ve been a husband, sister, close friend, or a daughter in another incarnation. It’s through their essence that souls are recognized, with each one being unique like a fingerprint. Your mother’s essence as spirit and the bond you both have throughout your incarnations is how you will relate to “her”, not necessarily by her being your mom because “she” was just playing a role as a mom in this particular lifetime, however, this can solidify a closeness you have with that particular spirit.
For this spirit to play your mother in this incarnation should evidence the closeness and trust you have with this particular spirit. Furthermore, to allow a spirit to play a role such as a mother should tell you that there’s definitely qualities you hope to learn and/or absorb into your own being from this spirit, regardless of how you were brought up, good or bad.
